Headquartered in Berlin, we provide cloud-based content management, marketing, and distribution solutions (SaaS) for broadcasters, studios, and distributors worldwide. Our tools are used to screen, sell, and securely manage high-value media assets.
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to help provision, secure, automate, and operate the AWS-based infrastructure supporting our MediaStore platform and related services. A strong focus of this role is infrastructure security, operational reliability, and automation.
This is a unique position to work at the forefront of the transformation of the media industry from on-prem to cloud-based workflows. Your Responsibilities
- Provision, maintain, and secure AWS-based production infrastructure
- Design and operate highly available, fault-tolerant cloud environments
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
- Collaborate with developers to bring new services and features into production
- Help establish and spread DevOps practices across engineering teams
- Support and troubleshoot large-scale production environments
- Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability solutions
- Improve infrastructure security, hardening, and operational resilience
- Support infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives
- Ensure reliable environments for media processing and streaming workloads
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in provisioning and operating production multi-service infrastructures in the cloud
- Strong Linux / Unix administration skills
- Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services
- Experience with REST APIs, SOAP/XML, JSON, YAML
- Strong understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Git and modern version control workflows
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments
- Familiarity with orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.)
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, load balancing, and infrastructure security
- Experience with monitoring and observability tooling (NewRelic, Grafana, etc.)
- Experience in troubleshooting production incidents and large-scale operational issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Nice to Have
- Security-focused DevOps background
- Experience in media delivery or streaming platforms
- Familiarity with security hardening and infrastructure security best practices
- Experience with security audits (TPN, ISO 27001, etc.)
