QA Engineer (remote or onsite)

mediafellows is looking for a QA Engineer who has comprehensive knowledge of automated quality assurance of modern websites and is highly familiar with state-of-the-art test tools.

As a QA Engineer you will be an important part of our core product development team and be responsible for the quality assurance of our sophisticated SaaS solution “MediaStore”, an online B2B platform for marketing and distribution of audiovisual content – covering content management, video screening, contracting and fulfillment. Some of the largest studios, broadcasters and distributors from around the world rely on our platform solution.

This is a unique position to be part of transforming the media industry from on-prem to cloud-based workflows. We look for a new colleague with skill, passion, humor and a strong sense of responsibility who helps us raise our solution to the next level with state-of-the-art web technologies.

What you will contribute ...

  • You take responsibility for the quality assurance of our web software solutions
  • You ensure that we release our website solutions in the highest possible quality to the full satisfaction of our clients
  • You control our QA processes together with the product management, and the developers to ensure all features are released as defined
  • You participate in the bug triage process, collaborating effectively with customers, product management and engineering
  • You reproduce and document reported bugs while assessing their impact and priority
  • You bring in your enthusiasm, knowledge, and skills to develop the most advanced SaaS solution for audiovisual content management and distribution
  • You mentor others by teaching proactive quality verification and introducing new QA technologies and/or methodologies

What we do expect ...

  • You have long-term experience in software quality assurance processes
  • You are passioned about high-quality websites
  • You have routine use of end-to-end test automation tools (e.g., WebdriverIO, Cypress, Selenium, etc.)
  • You have hands-on experience in manual but structured website testing
  • You have hands-on experience in automated API testing by utilizing Postman and similar tools.
  • You have a solid knowledge of modern web application designs including a good understanding of how frontend and backend components work together
  • You have excellent knowledge of website structures and their styling, e.g., with HTML5/CSS3
  • You have successfully utilized Docker and Kubernetes already
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility
  • You are a true team player and enjoy sharing knowledge proactively
  • You are fluent in English
  • You are based in the Central European Time Zone +/- 2 hours
